National Poetry Writing Month is a poem writing project held every year in the month of April since 2003 initiated by a poet, Maureen Thorson who lives in Washington DC. She owns and operates the website www.napowrimo.net. It a 30 day challenge where one poem every day on a prompt given.
This year I have decided to take part in this amazing project. This is definitely not the first time that I’ll be writing poems; been writing since I was 13. I often write whenever I feel like, but, mostly when I am blue. But the first time I’ll be trying my hand at writing poems based on prompts everyday this month. And I will also try to read some. Just like our days and moods, some poems will be better than others. So happy reading 🙂
